Jimmy Smith
Principal
Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Management from the Georgia Institute of Technology and over twenty years of experience in construction management, contract negotiation, strategic planning, and project management capabilities in heavy industrial, institutional, commercial, historic preservation, and large-scale residential development. At the start of his professional career, Smith planted his roots in Savannah, Georgia and has since earned a distinguished reputation for having an elite understanding of the area’s complex landscape. From his comprehensive experience in renovating the area’s nineteenth-century buildings to meet modern-day standards, to breaking new ground in the development of Savannah’s International Trade and Convention Center, Smith’s resume is impressively vast. Jimmy and his wife Heather have two daughters, Annaleigh and Sydney.
Billy McIntosh
Project Director
Mr. McIntosh is a graduate of Southern Polytechnic State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. Billy is a native Savannahian with over 20 years of commercial and custom residential construction experience. Throughout his career, Billy has had the opportunity to manage challenging and unique ground-up and renovation projects that have contributed to the diversity of his portfolio.
With a track record of successful projects, Billy has relied on the key pairing of team methodology and effective communication. Billy and his wife, Cathy, have a daughter named Cara. In his free time, Billy enjoys fishing, kayaking, sports, and playing music.
Bradley Murphy
Senior Project Manager
In his role as Project Manager, Mr. Murphy is in charge of managing and coordinating project details. He oversees the operations of construction sites, from planning to completion. Murphy is also responsible for daily scheduling, supervising all activities and tasks, and ensuring the safety and compliance of project sites.
A graduate from the University of Georgia with a degree in Economics, Murphy has lived in Savannah since childhood. With over 20 years of experience in residential and commercial work, built across the Midwest, Georgia, and the Lowcountry, Murphy adds a wealth of experience to the company.
Murphy is the father of two children, Jack and Mallie. He enjoys being active in their schools volunteering and coaching baseball and football. Murphy is an avid golfer and outdoorsman in his free time who loves hunting, fishing, and tending to their robust vegetable garden.
Bryon Houghton
Senior Project Manager
In his position, Mr. Houghton estimates, plans, and builds commercial projects while managing relationships with key project stakeholders. In addition, he coordinates communication between subcontractors, project teams, architects, and engineers.
With over 10 years of experience in construction, Bryon has extensive professional experience in new construction, repairs, and renovation projects, primarily in the commercial sector. He has lived and worked on the American East Coast and in Australia, where projects have often taken him across both countries.
Mr. Houghton and his wife Andy moved to Savannah from Charlotte, North Carolina, and are active in the outdoors and renovation projects. He is a graduate of Elon University with a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies and Business Administration. He also received a Master of Construction Management degree from Western Carolina University.
Kevin Stalker
Project Manager
Mr. Stalker, originally from Pensacola Florida, has over six years of experience in construction management. In his role at JTVS, he oversees and maintains onsite scheduling, information gathering, daily logging, and correspondence with clients and crew. He helps facilitate the management side of construction projects for both new and historic preservation.
Stalker received his Bachelor of Arts in Linguistics and his graduate degree in Construction Project Management both from the University of Florida.
Tamara Harty
Comptroller
Originally from Greenville, SC, Tamara Harty has lived in Savannah for over 25 years. She graduated from UGA in 1993 with a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and has worked in accounting for over 20 years, including CPA firms and various industries. Harty and her husband, Nick Harty, have three kids: Tony, Jack, and Helen.
Outside of work, she is an avid runner and is a member of the Savannah Triathlon Team and the Savannah Masters. She is also a parishioner and lector at St. James Catholic Church.
Jane Jansen
Project Engineer
Ms. Jansen is originally from Arizona where she was born and raised. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Arizona and has 5 years of experience working on multifamily education, healthcare, and hospitality projects.
In her position, Jane oversees construction progress and scheduling for various projects and provides technical support to construction staff.
Jane recently moved to Savannah with her fiancé where they both enjoy the Southeast’s outdoor lifestyle. She is also an avid painter and enjoys traveling whenever possible.
Bobby “Bubba” Counts
Construction Foreman
Bobby “Bubba” Counts has spent his life working in the construction industry. If there was a Greek god of construction workers listed in the mythology books, it would have a picture of Bubba next to it. Bubba’s can-do attitude and relentless work ethic are highly contagious on project sites and helps to keep a consistent workflow on each project, ensuring deadlines are met and budgets kept.
Kaleb Pierce
Project Engineer
Kaleb is originally from Camden County, Georgia. Currently attending the College of Costal Georgia, in hopes of achieving a bachelor’s degree in Business Management through their online program. Being associated with the Association of General Contractors through high school competitions and construction internships, Kaleb has won multiple awards for his knowledge and proficiency in construction.
Mr. Pierce has proficient skills in networking, team building, and being able to bring a smile to most anyone. In his free time, Kaleb enjoys traveling, hunting, and fishing; always looking for a new adventure.
Clayton Papp
Field Engineer
Mr. Papp, a native of Vidalia, Georgia, holds an associate degree in Construction Management from Ogeechee Technical College. He has extensive experience in assisting project managers and as a carpenter for a multitude of projects. As Field Engineer at JTVS, he is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all of the activities of a construction site according to project blueprints and schedule plans. Their duties include coordinating subcontractors, performing quality control and safety checks and providing on-site direction when preparing construction sites.
